ModeLabs designed this weird looking, “handle” shaped concept phone. But it’s not all about the looks — the U-Turn concept recovers energy from the opening of the keypad to recharge its batteries. The device is also very easy to use. In closed keypad mode, it provides users with simplified use of the voice functions, while on the other side, in open keypad mode gives users ability to do texting. The U-Turn also boasts a force feedback thumbwheel for scrolling. Unfortunately, the too futuristic design means we won’t see the U-Turn hitting the market anytime soon.
