New Extended Life Batteries for T-Mobile G1 Users?

The folks over at Google and Blog have reported that T-Mobile is offering up a little extra Christmas present to all of the G1 users out there… and the gift will come in handy if the users were having any issues at all with battery life. That’s right, T-Mo is planning to sent out a new, longer-lasting battery to all G1 users. The battery that ships with the G1 out-of-the-box has long been reported to have battery life issues… The thing drains quick, adding some level of frustration to the whole G1 experience.

Hopefully this rumor is true (I’m still filing this under rumor for now!), but lets keep our fingers crossed for official word from T-Mobile in the near future. Seems a little too good to be true… But we’ll see. Would be a great spiff for G1 users on the big T-Mo.
