MetroPCS has recently launched myMetro, a customer service feature which gives subscribers the ability to manage their account while on-the-go. With myMetro application installed, users can check their account balance, pay bills, add money to the MetroPCS pre-pay bucket (Metro-Connect), change rate plans and features, as well as modify myMetro settings — all without speaking to a representative.

At present, MetroPCS subscribers dial 611 to access a customer service representative. With myMetro app, you should still dial 611 to launch the free application. However, now you will be prompted to modify and review information on the handset.

This doesn’t mean a customer service representatives don’t exist anymore — they are still there to help — it’s just that many of the common tasks you can do for yourself faster, without getting them involved in the process.

The myMetro application is offered at no charge, and will come as a standard feature on new MetroPCS handsets.
