Apple and AT&T stores may meet Apple iPhone demand

Apple iPhone may not meet launch day demand from customersWe’re all still a little dazed at the announcement that the Apple iPhone will drop on June 29, so it’s not quite registering that Apple and AT&T stores nationwide may not be able to meet consumer demand on launch day. Reports are coming in that there will not be any massive shipments to retailers and that early adopters may have to wait in line for their iPhone – like so many Wii and PS3 hopefuls. Some stores are only expecting 40 units!

On the upside, though, these reports are coming from the same Apple and AT&T employees that were sooo accurate in their launch-date predictions. So there’s going to be some wiggle room in Apple iPhone availability – but like everything else, we’ll just have to wait and see. (We don’t know what we’ll do if we find a “SOLD OUT” sign hanging on the Apple store’s door).
