Apple iPhone will do Tabbed Browsing!

apple iphone safari will do tabbed browsing but not ichat - whatAs the Apple iPhone’s launch date quickly approaches, we are getting more and more reports on sneak peaks of the hot, new phone. On the up-side, 9to5 Mac got the down-low on the iPhone’s Safari browser – saying that it will support tabbed-browsing. Tabbed browsing, as we’re sure you’re already aware, allows you to browse multiple websites within one instance of a particular web browser – in this case, Safari. This not only save on memory usage, but makes browsing and researching the internets efficient and more enjoyable. 9to5 also confirms the existence of a vibration function on the iPhone, which is good, if expected.

But, on the down-side, we also hear that the battery will not be removable (surprise, surprise), and iChat seems to be missing (at least on preproduction models). While we weren’t really expecting the built-in battery to be removable, it’s pretty sad to hear that the iChat application is missing from the iPhone’s program line-up. That’s really too bad. Will it be enough to keep us from getting our own? Probably not.
