Twitter 2.0 Add-on for FringFring is listening to its users and as a result they’ve released a brand new update to their Twitter Add-on.

The new version of Twitter 2.0 Add-on for fring allows users to view other Twitter profiles, check-out their followers and see who’s following them. Moreover, there’s a new keyword search, enabling you to keep on top of a particular topic, as well as the option to open links in your incoming Tweets.

Finally, a small yet very demanded adjustment has been made so you could switch-off the beep sound when receiving Tweets.

In order to grab the new Twitter 2.0 Add-on, you’ll need to unsubscribe from the old Twitter and then re-subscribe to the new Add-on. Symbian handset owners will additionally have to download the new Fring version 3.37, first.

In the same blog post where new Twitter Add-on has been announced, Fring also said they’ve released its source code, as well as codes for some other Add-ons. The idea is, of course, to help developers bring more Add-ons to Fring by re-using the code mash it up with “their own social experiences.”

The short demonstration of Twitter 2.0 Add-on for Fring follows after the jump. Enjoy!
