HTC Touch Pro, BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip, others coming to US Cellular’s network

us_cellular-logoIn this super-connected world we live in today, the little guys aren’t so little anymore. The smaller, regional carriers throughout the US are working hard to offer their customers the same hardware lineup that bigger national carriers have the pleasure of launching. It makes sense, customers aren’t blind to new product launches just because their regional carrier isn’t launching the device – a “connected” customer base means an “informed” customer base, after all.

So, it looks like US Cellular is getting ready to offer some of today’s hottest (albeit, not for much longer) handsets to its customers. Rumors rooted in PhoneArena‘s forums suggest that US Cellular’s product roadmap reportedly points to the HTC Touch Pro and the BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip, as well as a few other entry-level to mid-range handsets, launching over the next couple months.

We’re expecting to see the HTC Touch Pro launching on April 17. The Touch Pro’s 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi and slide-out QWERTY keyboard will be a fitting replacement to the ancient HTC Mogul that currently top US Cellular’s smartphone range.

The BlackBerry 8220 Pearl Flip is aimed at a mid-June launch window. The Pearl Flip isn’t the most successful BlackBerry handset to ever hit market, but there’s something about diversity in form-factors that keeps the Pearl Flip close to our hearts (if not our pockets).

The Samsung Gloss U440, Samsung R311 and LG UX840 are also gearing up for launch on US Cellular.
