According to a Tuesday report by Taliya News reporter, active market dealers say that a large number of various types of Nokia’s old models, among which there are some rare and out-dated sets, have entered the market in recent weeks.

They say, “Under such conditions that the agents involved in imports of Nokia sets have halted the entry of those sets, or drastically decreased the volume of their imports, Nokia has felt urged to seek a way to maintain its status here in its competition with other major bands.

According to latest news, a large number of some Nokia sets, such s its N6729 series, that were presented in Iran last year, but were not very successful, have entered the market again. It is noteworthy that these sets face no problems regarding registration of their serial numbers.

Why not negotiate with the government of Iran? Tell them how making mobile phones cheaper would increase the need for a cellular infrastructure, tell them that there are new business models that present themselves once everyone is connected. Tariffs are apart of life, but you shouldn’t be forced to shove old models down the throats of an entire nation since you can’t get them new products. Negotiate, communicate, compromise. Here’s a hint, why not offer to give Iran HSDPA 🙂 France and Poland are sure enjoying it.
