Streaming Podcasts come to Viigo

It’s been a long time a-coming, but streaming podcasts are finally here for Viigo on BlackBerry. Twitter and Facebook integration also got a bit of an upgrade for the social networkers out there. While podcasting is a big step for Viigo, I’m not sure if it will replace PodTrapper as my primary podcast client, it’s a great option for more casual listeners, who don’t need their shows saved locally, especially if they’re already using Viigo for its numerous other great features (like weather, sports, news, local interest services and more).

Podcasts are something Viigo has been promising for awhile, so it’s what we’re mostly excited about, but they’re also pushing their enterprise product pretty heavily at WES. Companies can set up their own version of Viigo behind their firewall and roll it out internally to keep employees up-to-date with a bunch of pertinent information, like contact profiles, reports, and policy information. Tag all that onto their earlier PageOnce announcement, and Viigo’s had a pretty solid WES.

If you haven’t had a chance to try out Viigo for BlackBerry or Windows Mobile, go ahead and take a look at Frequency to see what we’ve been able to do with these guys.  iPhone version’s on the way, so keep an eye out!
