The LED on the Nokia E61i won’t be useless!

Ed from E-Series just got his hands on quite a number of screen shots from the E61i. I suggest you check all of them out. This one in particular caught my eye:

Notificationlight0011

I’ve had many mobile phones in my life time. My favorite one right now is definitely my Nokia E61. Sure the vibration feature is weak and the LED notification only works for email, but it is will always have a place in my heart.

Nokia seems to have fixed at least one of my gripes with the addition of this menu. You can now be notified of missed calls and text messages. Absolutely glorious.

Would it be too much to ask that the next firmware update for the E61 we can somehow get this functionality?

For those of you who want a Nokia E61i don’t forget to sign up for notification of availability.
