With the BlackBerry Curve 8520 coming any day now via T-Mobile and Walmart, the good folks in India get to jump on the same bandwagon. Airtel will reportedly launch the Curve 8520 in India starting at Rs. 15,990. Also, a new prepaid service plan will be made available starting at Rs. 299. From what I’ve been told, this price point is an affordable one for folks in India, so it should be very interesting to see how well the 8520 goes over.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 features a new touch-sensitive trackpad (I’ve used it, I like it), a full-QWERTY keyboard, 256MB flash memory, 512Mhz CPU, microSD/SDHC expansion up to 16GB, 2.4″ screen, 2MP camera with video and much more.

Airtel will have the BlackBerry Curve 8520 on sale at authorized outlets through Bhari Teletech starting August 7th.
