LG’s GM750, named Layla, is making it through the certification hoops, and according to some XML snooping, will be hosting Windows Mobile 6.5, a 400 x 240 display, 5 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi (duh) and likely using LG’s S-Class UI. One particularly interesting rumoured feature is called Chat on Map, which will allow you to see where the people you’re talking to are instant messaging from. Of course, that will largely depend on both sides supporting some kind of common geo-awareness, but I’m excited to see how it’s implemented.
And y’know what? I’m not calling it Windows Phone until one actually comes out, mainly since it’s going to make differentiating versions a giant pain. That’s fair, right?
