MindMeister for iPhone

Here’s one for the fans of the mind-mapping software. Popular online service MindMeister has a new application in the AppStore, allowing iPhone and iPod Touch users to take their online mind maps with them wherever you go. Simply sign in to your MindMeister account when you first start the app, browse and download your mind maps for local editing and let the application take care of synchronising them with the cloud.

Feature wise, MindMeister for iPhone allows user to:

  • Create, view, and edit maps online and offline
  • Sync maps online MindMeister account
  • Share maps directly from the device
  • Full drag & drop support
  • Zoom in and out
  • Add children and sibling nodes
  • Support for icons, colors, styles
  • Favorites and pending maps
  • Geistesblitz view to quickly insert ideas

If you’re relying on MindMeister for your mind-mapping activities, paying additional 7 bucks for the iPhone app shouldn’t come as a problem. That “additional” part is there in case you’re a paid MindMesiter user, but the app will work with a free basic account, just as well.
