Nokia Mural

Nokia Mural, the clamshell phone we’ve seen being approved by the FCC and in a leaked AT&T roadmap, is officially announced. The somewhat stylish phone resembles other Nokia model – N76, but unlike the NSeries device, it’s a simple feature phone that runs Series 40 platform.

Specs wise, it sports a HSDPA connectivity support, 2.2-inch QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera, dedicated music keys, email and IM clients, media player, and a microSD memory card slot (expandable up to 16 GB). Moreover, the Mural can sing along popular AT&T services like AT&T Mobile Music, AT&T Navigator and AT&T Video Share.

Finally, and this is where it slightly stands out from the crowd, the clamshell phone comes in multiple cover illumination colors (blue, red, green, orange, purple and pink), which light up when the device is opened or closed or when you receive a call, a text or other notification on the device.

As we said it in the title, AT&T will start selling the Nokia Mural from September 6, when interested buyers will be able to grab it for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a two-year contract.
