U.S. Cellular

The U.S. government is giving away money these days in an effort to return economy on the right track. In that sense, U.S. Cellular has applied for federal stimulus funding to bring its service in rural areas of Missouri, California, Kansas and Nebraska.

More specifically, the carrier is asking:

  • $2.95 million for California,
  • $3.7 million for Kansas, and
  • $5.58 million for Nebraska.
