Weather Icon brings instant weather information to jailbroken iPhones

Weather Icon

Here’s something Apple could adopt. Just like you see the current day on the ever-fresh Calendar icon, we could also have such an icon for the Weather app. You would simply set the default location and the application would do the rest, changing its icon with the current weather conditions. Yap, this means in most cases you wouldn’t have to start the app at all!

Users of the jailbroken iPhones can do just that with a neat app called Weather Icon. Moreover, you can also set the application to display the current temperature on the status bar or even as a badge above the icon – very cool!

The thing that could also be included in the mix is automatic detection of your current location via GPS. However, even without that – Weather Icon rocks. Search for it in jailbroken app catalogs.
