Low-end ZTE X990 QWERTY phone clears the FCC

FCC has cleared a new ZTE device. It’s the X990, a low-end QWERTY keyboard-equipped phone, designed for those who like texting but don’t want to pay too much for a phone with full keyboard. In that sense, we’re talking about a non-3G device that also includes Bluetooth connectivity support, 2-megapixel camera, FM radio, web browser, music player, standard 3.5mm headset jack and a microSD memory card slot.

It’s still unclear which carrier will pick up the X990, but I can see it being offered for free on a contract…
