Only a few days after TELUS announced availability of the BlackBerry Curve 8530 for Canadians, Alltel Wireless has followed suit for folks in the US. As we’re well aware, the 8530 features OS 5.0, an optical trackpad, full QWERTY keyboard, microSD/SDHC expansion to 32GB, Bluetooth, WiFi, 2MP camera, and much more. Pricing? You’re looking at $49.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a 1-year contract and qualifying ‘Smart Choice Pack’. Said ‘Packs’ will run you a minimum of $69.99 per month and include unlimited data.

Commenting on the launch, Senior Sales & Operations Leader Paul Bowersock noted:

“Alltel takes pride in bringing the most advanced and versatile handsets to our customers so they can experience the world around them… If you’re looking for a smartphone that has advanced capabilities for both business and personal use, the BlackBerry Curve 8530 will help you make the most of every moment.”
