Gameloft, a French video game development house, released their full year 2009 results today and they said they racked up €122 million worth of sales in 2009.
Of that, €17.6 million was from Apple’s App Store; that’s 231% more than they made from the App Store in 2008.
I shouldn’t be writing this blog post since I don’t play video games anymore, but then again the types of people who play video games on their mobile phones typically don’t care about this sort of data.
Note that last month Gameloft said they’ve hit 10 million paid downloads, and in November 2009 they said that they’ve sold 400x (yes that’s right, 400x, not 400%) more games for the iPhone than for Android.
