Sennheiser Announces PX 210 Stereo Bluetooth Headphones

Sennheiser

Sennheiser, a monster to be reckoned with in the audio arena, has released a new pair of Bluetooth headphones, the PX 210. These beauts can apparently last 12 hours nonstop, stay paired up to 33 feet, and take advantage of a little something called apt-X coding (a commercial-grade compression technology). On the downside, the PX 210’s are listen-only, and some devices might not support apt-X quality without a dongle. As far as mobile users are concerned, it sounds like these are built for the dedicated music fanatic who doesn’t need to make calls over a Bluetooth headset and will spend a lot of time wearing these in wired mode anyway.

Right now, I’ve been playing around with the Nokia BH-905 (review coming soon) and I’m hoping to give this pair a try next. If you’re in the market for stereo Bluetooth headphones, I’d recommend the Plantronics BackBeats, more for comfort and style than signal stability or battery life. If you’re looking for high quality sound, and nothing but, the PX 210s will be available for a rather steep $299.95.
