After finding its place on Samsung’s website, the Corby Folder has been officially announced as the Corby F. The device keeps its youth look and feel, even sporting some fairy-like illustrative icons, as well as illuminated LED icons of cats, kiss etc. on the front of the phone — in total there are about 40 different icons to choose from.
You know the specs, but we’re repeating them, nonetheless. The clamshell Corby comes with a 2.6-inch QVGA display, 3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity support, T-DMB mobile TV, media player and a microSD memory card slot.
Samsung is asking 500,000 won for the device, which is about $430. Kinda steep when you consider the targeted market. I’m guessing the price will go down within a month or so, as soon as the Folder becomes the old news.
The Korean company hasn’t mentioned when it will export the device outside of the peninsula. We’ve no doubts that will happen in no time, though.
