The FCC filings for T-Mobile’s myTouch Slide (a.k.a. HTC Espresso) hinted that the Android smartphone would be arriving soon, and now we’ve got yet another hands-on picture, confirming that version 2.1 of the operating system will be loaded on there. The larger picture also shows the full device in a rather snazzy red paint job.

T-Mobile’s myTouch Slide will likely pack many of the same features as the original myTouch, with the exception of an optical trackpad and slide-out, landscape QWERTY keyboard. As for Android OS 2.1, it packs a lot of features, like Exchange support, a combined inbox, touchscreen keyboard, HTML5 support in the browser, contact synchronization, and a bunch of small handy updates.

The last we had heard about a release date for the myTouch Slide pointed towards May 17, so keep your fingers crossed.
