Samsung will join China Mobile’s OPhone party with its all-touchscreen device – GT-I7680. The device that runs a special version of Android comes with TD-SCDMA 3G (used by China Mobile), tri-band GSM radio, WiFi (actually WAPI – a Chinese version of WiFi), 3.5-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 800 MHz CPU, standard 3.5mm headset jack, FM Radio, GPS and so on. In other words, it’s well rounded handset with all features you would expect from a modern smartphone.

Unfortunately, we don’t know the price nor the exact release date. As soon as we hear something on that front, you’ll be the first to know.

In the meantime, the Western hemisphere is waiting for one other Samsung baby – Galaxy S, which elevates the Android game with its 4-inch display — that’s 0.3 inches more than the Nexus One’s screen. Likewise, we’ll also notify you the second the Galaxy S starts selling. Stay tuned in the meantime…
