Till Apple came on stage, carriers were the one with all the control. So it wasn’t surprising when we saw SlingPlayer for Symbian handsets released on X-Series from Hutchison 3, before the actual SlingMedia client was available to the other, non-3 users.
Now, SlingMedia started to test the generic version of its mobile client for Symbian devices in the U.S. If you’re interested to participate in a beta program, it’s required that you own either Nokia N75, E65 or N95, and that you have an unlimited data plan on AT&T or T-Mobile. Once selected, you’ll have to keep a zipped lip about confidential information, complete at least 2 short surveys, watch tons of TV on your device and of course report all the bugs and annoyances you may encounter.
