MyTouch Slide Arriving at T-Mobile June 2 for $179.99

As expected, T-Mobile’s MyTouch Slide will see widespread availability on June 16, with the first phones landing June 2. The price point will be $179.99 on a two-year contract after mail-in rebate, which is just a smidgen higher than the rumoured $149.

The MyTouch Slide rocks a 3.4″ HVGA touch display, four-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and customized HTC Sense user interface on top of Android 2.1. It has a few extra features that set it apart, like an optical trackpad, work/play mode, dedicated MyFaves app, and a handy voice search key.

The only other Android handsets really making any noise on T-Mobile these days are the Behold II and the Garminphone, neither of which are what you’d call big hits. The Cliq XT looked nice enough, but I have a feeling the MyTouch Slide will do good things for Android on T-Mobile.
