Perhaps there’s nothing quite like the experience of lining up for a new iPhone, namely the iPhone 4 in just two weeks, at an Apple retail store, but sometimes you want to just be in and out of a place without fuss. The only other option up until this year was to do the same at an AT&T corporate store, and that’s not any more fun. This year, it looks like several retail outlets will be carrying the iPhone 4 and selling it on launch day, June 24.
Wal-Mart has just announced that it will be offering the iPhone 4 on launch day, which means you can camp out in those massive parking lots on the night of June 23. Best of all? There are all kinds of snacking options inside Wally World to keep you going while you patiently await your new toys.
In addition to Wal-Mart, there’s a rumor going ’round saying Best Buy will be all set for the iPhone launch, too. Radio Shack, excuse me, The Shack has also made it public that it, too, will be hosting its own launch events with stock ready to go. The bottom line is that this year, it seems like you’ll have fewer excuses to get the new iPhone on launch day since there are just so many options.
