
Although we still wait Apple to announce its shiny handset in Canada, people have already spotted “iPhones” being sold for a single Canadian dollar a piece. As you can figure out for yourself, there’s something wrong with this. Actually, iPhones are cheap $1 headphones manufactured by little known company Electra, which supplies the Dollarama bargain stores chain. And while we know Apple hasn’t succeeded to secure the “iPhone” name in Canada so far — Comwave is using the name to promote its VoIP phone services — something tells us Jobs&Co are in the midst of argument with their lawyers as we speak. Anyway, if you happen to stumble on these headsets, I would suggest buying them — not to use them, but to own a piece of history. I doubt they’ll be on the market for long time…
