Bizzy helps iFolks discover local businesses, deals and events

Bizzy — which is a community of like-minded shoppers and diners — launched Bizzy 2.0 app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, making it easy to discover new businesses based on available local deals or events near you.

The main thing of Bizzy’s iPhone app is the “What’s Happening” list from where users can browse and discover promotions at the local businesses in their area. This list can also be placed on a map simply by turning the device in landscape view, where pins point out the locations of nearby special offers. Users can then further filter the types of offers they want to see by selecting categories such as Shopping, Beauty & Spas, Fashion and Restaurants.

The app also features a calendar, search option and enables sharing via Twitter and Facebook.

Finally, you can create a list of your favorite local businesses (so called Bizzy List) and get updates only from the businesses you like — once connected, Bizzy will suggest additional local businesses by learning from the experiences of friends or people with similar tastes…
