Fotonauts, makers of Fotopedia.com, announced new version of its Fotopedia Heritage mobile app for the iOS-powered devices. Version 2.0 packs few cool features, including:
- Slideshow – feature that effectively transforms the iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone into a photo frame.
- Shuffle – Simple shake the device to access a random photo (destination).
- Wallpaper – Now you can use images featured in Fotopedia Heritage as wallpapers for your iDevice.
- iOS 4 update – adds multi-tasking and Retina display support.
The core of the app remains the same, offering more than 25,000 awe-inspiring photos with more being added on a daily basis.
In addition to the new app version, Fotonauts also announced a new financing round of $1.1 million from investors including Ignition Partners and Banexi Ventures Partners. The new money will be used to bring new products to market and to “secure top-level leadership talent.” In that sense, the company opened an office in San Francisco and appointed Christophe Daligault, a Microsoft veteran and former General Manager, to the position of Senior Vice President of Global Business…
