The Paliwoda Group launched a new fund called Mobile Info Solutions Fund to offer seed-stage investments to projects across the mobile Internet sector in the New York City. Among the areas they look to put their money in there are location-based services, social networking, mCommerce (advertising and payments), communication and entertainment. Applications will be accepted beginning January, 2011.

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and the most promising projects will be invited to meet with a member of the firm’s Ventures investments team. Projects will be announced as they are selected for funding, unless they choose to remain operating in stealth mode.

Commenting on the new fund launch, Ron Paliwoda (founder and President of The Paliwoda Group) said: “We look for novel solutions to unique challenges within the mobile Internet sector. We also look for agile teams that can rapidly adapt to change since business trends can shift significantly in the time it takes to bring a product to market.”
