LG debutes two new clamshells today, in a pre-CTIA announcement from Orlando, Florida. The LG VX8700 (pictured at left) and LG 570 were unveiled alongside a new Bluetooth Stereo Speaker system, dubbed the LG MSB-100. The LG VX8700’s thin, RAZR-like proportions indicate fashion phone aspirations, while the LG570’s music playback concentration lends to its role as a music phone.

LG VX8700

The 0.5 inch thin LG VX8700 is finished with a shiny brushed metal exterior, sporting a shiny external display. The internal screen is of the 240 x 320 variety and sits above the flat, etched, RAZR-esque keypad that is such a common feature of clamshell phones nowadays. Rounding out the feature set is a 2 mega-pixel shooter, speakerphone, A2DP Bluetooth, microSD expansion slot, and mp3 playback. The phone will operate on a dual CDMA network with EvDO high speed data connectivity.

LG 570

The LG 570 boasts external touch-screen music controls (a la LG Chocolate) for its role as a music-phone. This music oriented mobile phone comes packed with an mp3 player (of course), microSD expansion slot, 1.3 mega-pixel video camera, and an integrated FM transmitter (for broadcasting those tunes to your car stereo). Photos and videos can be viewed on the 2.25 inch internal lcd screen with 220 x 170 pixels of resolution.

LG MSB-100

LG tops off their announcements with a new Bluetooth stereo speaker system that is capable of A2DP, AVRCP, hands-free, and headset bluetooth profiles. Continuous music playback is rated at 8 hours with a talk-time of about 20 hours, after a 3 hour charge cycle. The MSB-100 should ship in May with a pricetag of $120.
