NTT DoCoMo to offer free Evernote Premium service to its Android customers in Japan

Japan’s largest mobile operator NTT DoCoMo is teaming-up with Evernote to bring the popular note-taking service to its customers. Best of all, DoCoMo’s users will get the Premium version of the service, which otherwise costs $50 a year, for free!

As part of the deal, the carrier will pre-install Evernote app on every Android smartphone it sells, while also offering the same treatment to its existing users — they’ll get to download the application and get the accompanying Premium service for free as well!

Love how it sounds and I love Evernote. Hopefully, DoCoMo won’t be the only operator in the world to offer such a service to its customers. Sure, competition is super fierce in the Land of the rising Sun, but carriers across Europe and North America are heavily fighting for the customers too. Keeping our fingers crossed a practice like this will be repeated elsewhere can’t harm, that’s for sure. 😉
