Whatser, the mobile location-based travel guide we’ve already covered last month, just got better thanks to the inclusion of content from Rough Guides.
If you remember, Whatser allows users to get around their travel destinations by following their friends’ recommendations and/or by consulting third-party content providers.
Initially, Rough Guide content for Paris, London, Amsterdam and Rome has launched on the application and will be followed by Barcelona and Berlin, with further destinations planned in 2011.
The Rough Guides content will be available for free for one year for all of you who sign-up before the end of the year. After the first free year, you’ll have to pay 2.99 EUR per city per year.
In addition to the general reviews of top attractions, Rough Guides also offers its “Not to Miss” and “Authors’ Picks” selections — tags will be added to spots to identify these specific places and you can also perform a search for these tags.
