Microsoft acquires Danger, creates Premium Mobile Experiences divisionIf there’s one thing that Microsoft does well, it’s acquiring companies that might offer benefit to its operations in any market. As you might recall, Microsoft recently put up a cool $500 million in a push to buy Sidekick-maker Danger. Well, it looks like the acquisition has been completed and Microsoft is celebrating by integrating the Danger team into the newly created Premium Mobile Experiences (PMX) division.

Microsoft’s move to create the PMX division underlies the company’s renewed push to make their mobile offerings more user-friendly. That means we’ll be seeing more Danger-influence on the Windows Mobile side of things, which is definitely a good thing. And, more interestingly, the new division could hint at a Microsoft-branded mobile phone in the near future. What’s that you say? Zune Phone?
