GetGlue Launches BlackBerry Check-In App in Beta

Last night, the GetGlue social network finally launched a check-in app for BlackBerry in a private beta. This follows on the heels of Android and iPhone apps, which also let you share what your watching, who you’re talking about, what you’re playing, what you’re thinking about, what you’re reading, what you’re listening to, and lots more.

GetGlue is a nice alternative to the location-based check-in apps in that you aren’t restricted by where you are, and the topics covered are much more broad. Anything you can check-in to, you can also review, like and dislike. You earn stickers for checking-in a certain number of times, and a bunch of TV shows, books, and video games even have their own custom-made rewards. They’re generally only virtual, but once you earn 20, you can have GetGlue ship you a batch of real stickers to plant wherever you want.

Personally, I love GetGlue, and use it often to share what I’m up to with Facebook. As is, the BlackBerry app is on the buggy side, which is what you’d expect from a beta, but I’m sure everything will be ironed out once the full version is rolled out to the public. Although you can’t see it in my screenshot above, once the app is fully-polished you should be able to check your friend stream, leave Likes and reviews, check your stickers, and change your profile, on top of checking in. You can , and until you get in, use the mobile site to keep your friends up to date. You can also try harassing their twitter account for a “golden ticket”, too.
