Turns out that Fire Red Sidekick Slide that we expected T-Mobile to drop in 2Q 2008 prefers that we refer to it as “Scarlet.” Sporting a shade of Red that should appeal to those that just aren’t feeling the more sedate Purple color scheme, the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide Scarlet is ready to win over the hearts and minds of Sidekick Slide fans starting today.
The internals are the same as the Purple-colored Sidekick Slide – the 1.3 megapixel camera, sliding display, and microSD card slot are all the same. Look for the T-Mobile Sidekick Slide Scarlet to price in at $199.99 with 2-year contract and rebate.
For what it’s worth, the “Fire Red” moniker would have given the Sidekick Slide a bit more of an “edgy” feel than “Scarlet.” But hey, red is red, no matter what you call it.
