Twitterific hits iPhone

Twitterrific native iPhone applicationWe’ve been using all manner of iPhone applications to get our Twitter fix from time to time. Native applications, web-apps, it’s all good.

Well, it’s about to get that much more “gooder.” With Apple already taking the wraps off its highly-anticipated AppStore ahead of the US iPhone 3G launch, IconFactory is offering their Twitterrific native application for all to enjoy. Twitterrific is offered in both “Free” and “Premium” flavors. The gratis version gives users access to Twitterrific’s terrific Twitter client with a few ads popping up every so often. Or, for $9.99, Twitterrific’s premium version gives users an extra display and does away with those potentially annoying advertisements.

Both versions sport a new detailed-view for each tweet and a mini-browser to quickly look up an embedded link without switching over to Safari. And tweets from nearby friends and family are automatically sent with links to a map of the Twit’s (?) location.

Of course, you’ll need to have a iTunes 7.7, iPhone 3G, or an iPhone with the new iPhone 2.0 OS installed to access the new Apple AppStore, so get with the program!
