T-Mobile G2x appears on eBay for $1000

If you just can’t wait until April 20th to get your hands on the T-Mobile G2x, then you may want to point your browser to the new eBay listing that just put the sexy new device on the auction block for anyone with the wherewithal to be the first kid on their block with the G2x. If you’re willing to pay almost double the price than what the handset is actually worth, then you could just get yourself the G2x at least a week before it’s official launch.

The T-Mobile G2x will be available online on April 15th, but the 20th is when you’ll be able to walk into a Magenta store and grab one of these puppies for yourself. Easily the most high-end phone available on the carrier, the G2x is a please-all device in terms of specifications, although we do wish it was designed in a way that makes it look powerful on the outside to match its internal hardware. Either way, most smartphones today are slabs of material with little more than a large screen and some buttons, so we’re not surprised that LG focused on the device’s innards rather than anything else.

We liked Optimus 2X when we reviewed the handset, but paying a premium to have a device just two weeks before you can walk into a store and grab thing for cheaper sounds a bit silly. With that kind of money you’d be able to grab the G2x and the G-Slate when they come out and still have some extra cash in your pocket, if you don’t mind signing a two-year contract for both of them.

Either way, if you want to grab the very first (non-Motoblur) NVIDIA Tegra 2 phone in the US before anyone else, and have the cash to burn, the T-Mobile G2x can be yours for about a month’s rent here in SF. Hit up the link below and try to make an offer.
