You’ve probably seen the Asus Eee Transformer. It’s not “yet another tablet” thanks to its detachable keyboard which effectively turns it into a netbook (or that’s a smartbook). I like the concept and sometimes I’m sure everyone could appreciate a dedicated keyboard from time to time.
However I do have one problem with the Transformer – it’s big, too big. Personally I prefer smaller tablets. The 8.9-inch screen is a perfect size for me, though a 7-inch tablet is also an option. I want something that’s easy to carry around and that’s the reason why I haven’t grabbed the Transformer thus far (or any other 10.1-inch tablet for that matter). Moreover, I’m sure I’m not the only one; hence there’s gotta be a demand for a device which resembles Transformer but has a smaller screen.
So what can I/we do?
For one thing I’m hoping Asus is reading IntoMobile and that it will consider making a smaller Transformer. Actually I really think that releasing two additional versions — one with a 7-inch and the other one with an 8.9-inch screen — would be beneficial for the Taiwanese company. As I said, I like the idea and looking at Amazon UK’s list of best-selling tablets, other people dig it, too.
I’m eager to hear what you think. Maybe if many people comment on this post, someone from Asus will notice and actually do something about it. What do you say?
Or even better they’ll make multiple versions of the rumored Transformer 2. 🙂
