Orange Sydney is like a carrier-branded version of the Samsung Star II

Orange keeps rolling out more and more city-named phones. So far we’ve seen the carrier launching San Francisco, Barcelona, Monte Carlo and Stockholm phones, and now it’s time for some far-off destinations. The new device is called Orange Sydney and unlike previous models (listed above), it’s not a smartphone. Rather it’s an all-touchscreen feature phone, most likely Orange-branded version of the Samsung Star II. Heck, even if that’s some different device, the specs are the same and include things like a 3.2-inch screen, 3.2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi connectivity support, 3.5mm headset jack and so on.

We’ve no idea when exactly the Orange Sydney will start selling, but we do know it will be available on PAYG in two colors – black and white. You can check out the black version from here and the white one from here.

Not sure what to think about it. With smartphones costing less and less, I don’t quite understand who in the developed world wants to grab a feature phone instead. Any thoughts?
