MetroPCS nabs the HTC Wildfire S

MetroPCS has picked up another Android phone, as users of the prepaid carrier can now pick up an HTC Wildfire S for about $180.

If you think that nearly $200 may be too much for a mid-tier device like the Wildfire S, you’d best to remember that MetroPCS doesn’t come with a two-year contract, so you’ll be buying the phone outright. MetroPCs plans cost about $50 to $60 a month for unlimited plans. The cute phone rocks Android 2.3, 3.2-inch screen and you can have all the benefits of using an Android phone.

We’ve yet to see the MetroPCS Wildfire S but we did review the version for T-Mobile and found it to be a solid smartphone for the budget conscious. Blake reviewed it and he said:

The Wildfire S is a small budget Android phone that is easy on the eyes and the wallet. HTC Sense is one of the nicest skins you can find for the OS and it’s extremely easy to use, and that alone may be worth grabbing this handset.

You can head on over to MetroPCS to check it out. Any of you planning to pick this up?
