Microsoft announced on its Windows Phone blog that it will no longer update its Where’s My Phone Update? web site. The site was the place to go to find out about specific updates for individual phones and carriers. Instead of posting info to Where’s My Phone Update?, Microsoft will post news to its Windows Phone blog and it won’t be posting it as often. Windows Phone owners can find out about updates when the notification hits their handset. No reason was given for this change, all we know is that it’s going to happen effective now.
The Redmond company also confirmed the Windows Phone 8107 update will begin rolling out soon. This maintenance release will fix the on-screen keyboard issue; an annoying bug that causes the keyboard to disappear while typing. It also fixes a few bugs in email, location, security and voicemail.
