Samsung's Zipel oven can speak to you, let you control it with an Android app

Here’s an oven for tech-savvy smartphone owners out there – Samsung Zipel, model number MC368GAAW5A. It only looks like a regular home appliance, but it’s actually a smart oven, one that can communicate with your Android smartphone via Wi-Fi. Moreover, it comes with a dedicated Android app, featuring some 160 different kinds of dishes, using which you can send the data to the Zipel. It will adjust the temperature for the dish you’ve selected without you pressing a single button on the oven.

And that’s not all. The Samsung Zipel will also speak to you, informing you when you can put your dish inside and even how much calories the food you’re preparing has.

Sounds awesome, right? The sad news is that at the moment this is a Korea only product, though I’m sure Samsung is looking for ways to bring it to the Western hemisphere as we speak. On that note, it’s kinda safe to assume this may easily be the first oven that will need an FCC approval. 🙂
