Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G will be available in select T-Mobile stores starting Mar. 21

While you wont find the guts of a Galaxy S II inside the Blaze 4G, be rest assured that its Galaxy branding is well deserved. This handset will soon be landing on T-Mobile shelves with a price that’s just as stellar. At $149, the Galaxy S Blaze 4G may be right up your alley.

We got a chance to see the handset up close at Mobile World Congress a few weeks back and we walked away pretty impressed. It just goes to show you that specs really aren’t everything, even though the Blaze still has an impressive sheet of features. Shipping with a 3.97 inch Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, HSPA+ 42 support, and Android Gingerbread, the handset hits all the right notes and retains a great price.

When you think about it, there’s only so much that the need to be altered to the Blaze 4G to make this a superphone. Of course, we’d want a larger display with a higher resolution, bump the camera up to 8 megapixels, and we’d have a respectable high-end device that can run with the rest of the pack. That said, shaving off a few specs here and there hasn’t hurt the attractiveness of the Blaze 4G and those looking for a comparable smartphone that doesn’t hit the $200 mark should be happy with T-Mobile’s latest offering.

Expect to see this phone land on Magenta shelves on the 21st for $149 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and new two-year contract.
