Sony Xperia P is at the FCC, ready to sing along AT&T's network

Although Sony has better devices than the Xperia P, it’s still a solid mid-to-high end phone with that awesome (though kinda small-ish) WhiteMagic screen, which is said to be useful even when used on a sunny day. And that phone is now at the FCC where the government paid engineers are (almost) having a time of their life, while also making sure the device is safe to use by the general public. The Xperia P unit they’re testing comes with a quad-band radio and is perfectly capable of running on AT&T’s 3G network. Does that mean we’ll see it introduced in the U.S. in the near future? Not necessarily – it just means that Sony is doing all the paperwork as it prepares for the big day. Even if AT&T doesn’t get to offer the Xperia P, you’ll still be able to grab it in an unlocked form thanks to the Japanese company’s partnership with Brightstar. In the meantime, check out our hands-on Sony Xperia P post published during Mobile World Congress…
