Pitfall! hits the AppStore, brings back the memories

Legendary Pitfall! is back and is ready for download through Apple’s App Store. However, instead of boasting 2D look and feel — to remind us on the “good ol’ days” — it’s a 3D game with Temple Run-like dynamics.

You’ll be racing through jungles, caves and native villages while avoiding a number of different obstacles, including volcanic flames, tumbling ancient artifacts and narrow cliff side pathways. To reach the goal, you need to jump, slide or use your whip to take out foes like rattlesnakes and scorpions while avoiding the death grip of a crocodile’s jaw.

Moreover, Along the way you can pick various powerups that can enhance your experience and customize your wardrobe; top scores can be shared on Twitter and Facebook so you can, well, show your friends who’s the “king of the jungle.”

Unfortunately, Pitfall is an iOS title only and we can only hope it will be released for Android in the near future…
