It’s IFA time and Samsung has thus far only unveiled new memory cards, namely 64GB UHS-I class SD and microSD cards. The new memory is described as the best fit for modern LTE-based smartphones and tablets, providing read/write speeds of up to 80MB/40MB per second (SD) and 70MB/20MB per second (microSD). That’s pretty fast, hence this standard is called UHS, which stands for Ultra High Speed. In terms of availability, the new cards should be release at some point in mid-October and no – we don’t know the price. In the meantime, you’re good to go with existing microSD cards. They still do the job for me. 😉
