There’s no doubt games are among the most popular iPhone apps. That will probably stay the case for some time, hence the first iPhone game summit is being organized as we speak. It’s a half-day event called iGames Summit, and it’s scheduled for March 19th in San Francisco.

From the event-dedicated website, we’ve found out that several of the leading iPhone developers are listed as having already committed to participating in the summit: Tapulous (Tap Tap Revenge), Zynga (Facebook and MySpace games developer), and SGN (iGolf, iBowling, iBasketball and others).

It’s not yet clear what exactly will be talked about on the summit, but given the fact that the AppStore is booming, it’s only natural to see this happening.

Organizer Charles Hudson said: “The market for iPhone games is exploding, and we’re organizing our first event focused on this vibrant market. Our half-day event will bring together leading iPhone game developers, investors, and industry executives to share their collective wisdom on what’s working today and where this exciting industry is heading.”
