ZTE wants to seriously invest in Microsoft’s mobile platform or at least images we’re presenting you here suggest so. What we’ve got are photos of 3 upcoming Windows Phones, two of which apparently run Windows Phone 8, and one – Windows Phone 7.8. What’s more, one of those two Windows Phone 8 devices has a 1080p screen, making for a first Windows Phone 8 with such a display. And since it’s big — it has a 5.9-inch screen — we tend to call it a phablet (rather than smartphone).
As for the model running Windows Phone 7.8, it will most likely be an entry-level device with a single- or dual-core processor.
And in case you wonder, we’ve got this information from a ZTE exec, who posted the information at his Weibo account (Chinese version of Twitter)…
It’s cool that more handset makers are getting in the Windows Phone “game”, offering more options for consumers. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new on this…
