Go Green With the Motorola W233 Renew on T-Mobile

w233_motorola_renewDo good by doing good. I heard that somewhere… If you’re a do-gooder, you might want to take a look at Motorola’s new W233 Renew that is now available on T-Mobile.

While not exactly feature-packed, the Renew does however pack a lot of punch when it comes to environmentally friendly features. The plastics used in the device are made from recycled water bottles. Never thought my empty water bottles could end up as a wireless device, but hey, more power to Motorola. The device has a carbon neutral rating, is made of 100% recyclable materials… and the manufacturing process used to produce the Renew uses 20% less energy than the production of your typical mobile device. All good stuff.

The Renew comes complete with Motorola’s CrystalTalk noise reduction technology, a microSD slot for expansion up to 2GB, a nice 128×128 display, and 9 hours of talk time. So how much will you have to shell out for this one? A hefty $9.99. That’s right. $9.99. That is on-contract of course, but still… a great price for a nice little device that is doing its part for our environment.
